A progression of violence and intimidation
Events are beginning to confirm our previously noted suspicion that the progressive folks are a worrisome lot. You wonder what they would do with real power.
If you think I'm dwelling on a few isolated incidents, check out this, this, and now there's an entire Web site chronicling how violently desperate and intolerant Democrats are becoming.
Photos like the one with this post are not hard to come by:
I thought you like to see what a nasty Kerry fan did to the windshield and side window of my car this weekend...
Free Republic links to this post from the Democratic Underground titled 'BAD news from one of the local Sinclair advertisers'. I'm not recommending you go read the person's story, but this excerpt is important:
I got this response this morning...
Dear ,
Would like to know who directed you to send e-mail to this address. Our buildings have been shot at the last two nights and police are investgating. I am forwarding this to them so you can expect a follow up from them...
Waiting for the Democratic leadership to condemn this behavior? Don't hold your breath. Here's Kerry campaign spokesman Chad Clanton:
Listen - they better look out there at Sinclair Broadcasting. ... They've stirred up a lot of hatred. ... I think they're going to regret doing this. They better hope we don't win.
Students of recent history know there is ample evidence of this type of behavior from the Democrats in the past: Challenge us and you're toast. Accuse us of a crime and all sorts of bad things will start happening in your life.
Amass hundreds of witnesses to say they disagree with our recollections, and we will try to bring the anvil of government censorship down before you even have a chance to speak.
As Climacus opined, the likeliest totalitarian state to be established in the U.S. would be a dictatorship of the progressives. Because they are wrong on so many issues, they rely on smokescreens, distortions and uncivil methods in order to compete politically. This is not the party of liberty and free speech.
