Awaiting the Democrats' comeuppance
BTW as I was walking into work today I saw another sorry case of voter intimidation by the Republicans. Scores of minority citizens, attempting to vote, were being diverted into minivans and driven off to a Toby Keith concert. My my, can those right wing nut jobs get any lower? I hope when I walk by the polls this evening order will be restored.
Anyway, if, like Vodkapundit, you have concerns about the U.S. being reduced to a banana republic, you should check Bill Hobbs' voter fraud roundup daily.
It does not take much foresight to say this 'outside the box' activity by the Democrats is likely to be the story of this election and the weeks afterwards:
A coalition of liberal groups committed to defeating President Bush has spent more than $100 million orchestrating the largest voter-registration drive in U.S. history, raising concerns of widespread voter fraud in 14 battleground states...
In Florida, for example, the Justice Department is working with state authorities to determine whether voter-registration applications filled out by Republicans and taken by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a coalition member, purposely were not submitted to state election officials as part of a Democrats-only voter-registration drive.
Mac Stuart, a former ACORN field director, told investigators that workers for the organization routinely withheld Republican voter registrations, while "thousands of invalid voter-registration cards" were submitted in their place. He said he was ordered by ACORN officials to generate 103,000 voter registrations from Dade County.
Florida Cracker noted earlier in the month cases of malfeasance, 'including tossing applications of those registering Republican.' Lots of good guys in the Democratic camp, no doubt about that.
More than 2,500 Pinellas County residents and another 1,500 Hillsborough residents who thought they had registered for the Aug. 31 primary were notified they couldn't vote because the groups that helped them register failed to turn in their applications on time.
The majority of the late registration forms, including more than 2,100 in Pinellas, came from ACORN.
Similar voter registration problems involving ACORN were reported this year in Fort Lauderdale, New Mexico, Colorado, Ohio and Illinois.
If you've watched the behavior of the leadership of the Democratic Party and their cabal of interest groups for any amount of time, none of this will surprise you. It does not surprise me at all.
Here's a good one: In response to Lynne Cheney taking exception to both John Edwards and John Kerry managing to inject during the debates a statement that Cheney's daughter is a lesbian, Edwards' wife, Elizabeth, said:
It makes me really sad that that's Lynne's response. I think that it indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughter's sexual preferences that I'm certain makes her daughter uncomfortable.
This prompted Ace to note, appropriately:
Well, since her husband was just being so sweet to Mary Cheney, perhaps I can return the sweetness favor to Elizabeth Edwards, and suggest that she find an alternative route to work that doesn't bring her within a thousand feet of a Krispy Kreme.
What comes around, goes around. In this spirit, one must say, thanks Ralph:
With less than three weeks before the election, Ralph Nader is emerging as just the threat that Democrats feared, with a potential to tip the balance in up to nine states where President Bush and Senator John Kerry are running neck and neck.
Despite a concerted effort by Democrats to derail his independent candidacy, as well as his being struck off the Pennsylvania ballot on Wednesday, Mr. Nader will be on the ballots in more than 30 states.
Polls show that he could influence the outcomes in nine by drawing support from Mr. Kerry. They are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Wisconsin.
Moreover, six - Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Wisconsin - were among the top 20 where Mr. Nader drew his strongest support in 2000.
It's gonna take a lot of fraud to win this one boys. I hope you're up to the task.
